...so I was looking at my phone bill the other day and wondered how much people pay in long distance calls? I called Halifax a few times and it seems like it would of cost a fortune had I not had a plan that covered all calls within the 902 area code. Then it really got me thinking...how much is the White House's phone bill?? They must make a whack of long distance calls in the run of a day. I wonder how much it costs to call Iran? What about South America somewhere? Their phone bill must be something else...and really the American People are paying for it through their taxes. I guess the same thing goes for our Prime Minister. Is it cheaper to fly and chat than it is to call? In some instances it might just be....anyways...I wish we could see their bill...and how many personal calls are on there too :P hum....

As seen on TV...
...so I saw this video today and was amazed. It's a Canadian Guy who went to jail for a slew of robberies. I was amazed as what he was able to pull-off...I thought things like this only happened in the movies

Strip Search...
...so the Airports are going to install these machines that do a full body scan, like a strip search without actually taking your clothes off. Well isn't that nice... I don't like this idea at all. I don't want anyone to see me naked, or even a silhouette of me without my clothes. I'd rather they pat me down. Like how much to they see on the screen? I want to see a pic of what they see before I go ahead and do it! Will they see if I've "groomed" the area? Will they see if I have a sexy bra? Will they see through the bra and get a peek at my "pump sucked, really icky, baby feeding" part? Will they see my rolls and be able to count them? I have a lot of questions....it's kinda disturbing. They say it'll only be used as a secondary screening tool and it'll be a choice of this machine or a pat down...and it all came about after some guy tried to blow up a plane near Detroit before Christmas with explosives that were sewn into his underwear. Well, seems to me, if they would of patted down that guy they would have noticed rather lumpy drawers...so did he actually qualify for the second screening? Was he searched a little extra cause he was red flagged? If not, then what the hell is the difference? He'd still get on the plane and I'd be stuck grossing someone out with my fabulous physique!
Well maybe they should check...I don't know....and now that I think of it, if I can have 50 cents under my boob without even noticing then you can only imagine what I can fit under all of my lovely lady lumps!

Words...
...so my friend Charlene posted about a free Olympic Toque with the purchase of 2 Old El Paso Products. That's great news and I think I might be able to get me one of them. Here's the thing...Toque...isn't that a weird word? I pronounce that TOO-QUE...so really, how would you know to spell it by just sounding it out? To me, Toque seems like it should be pronounced Toke.
While I'm discussing words, Read is another one. "I read a book"...."I love to read" Same word, same spelling, different pronunciation. How on earth can you have a word that's pronounced differently with the same spelling?....grammatically, it makes no sense. Listen to me, Gramatically...hehehe...as if I really know anything about grammar! I've watched "Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader" so many times and lost at any question to do with Grammar! Like: How many adverbs are there in the following sentence, blah blah blah.....not a clue what is an adverb other than it is a word that describes a verb...now what the hell is a verb? I don't know! I don't need to know! I just need to be able to spell all words and who the hell cares what they're called!
Why are there silent letters? If they're silent then shouldn't they be invisible too? Why bother adding a letter that has no use? I can do that too....Lise....but really it's spelled Ljiwhse...the J, W and H are silent...take that! Who decides that?
I decided to research the "Word of the Year" for 2009. According to the web, the Oxford word of the year is "Unfriend" – verb – To remove someone as a ‘friend’ on a social networking site such as Facebook. hehehe...whatdoyaknow, it's a verb...well there you go!
Here's some other words that were up for consideration listed under their respective categories. (from the site http://blog.oup.com/2009/11/unfriend/):

Strike...
...so apparently some of the workers at the hospital may be going on strike as of Jan 11th. Don't you kind it funny that with all the H1N1 fiasco, it would be important to have all maintenance staff working at the hospital? We basically have to nod or chest bump people in order to say "Hi" as touching someones hand would be the end of the earth...and now we'll be able to go to the hospital, the germiest place on earth, and not have anyone to clean the germs. Then, we get news that we shouldn't worry and still go to the ER if we need help. Well Geesh...not that long ago you could barely walk through the doors without a full astronaut outfit and a real life bubble around you...and now we'll have to walk over dirty, wet, icky floors....pee on...ugh....you get my point.
I'm not saying that they shouldn't strike...everyone has a right to fair wages, no matter what job you're doing...but shouldn't the government try to resolve something like this before the last freakin minute? They are well aware of when the contract is up, after all, they argue every time it comes up for renewal! I can't visit anyone at the hospital cause of the H1N1 Visitor Ban, I can't read anything while I'm there because of the H1N1 ban, my child can't have anything to do cause of the H1N1 ban...and now I'll be expected to bring my cleaning supplies or take my garbage with me...hell no! I pick up enough and clean enough crap at my house that I refuse to do it anywhere else...after all, part of my money goes to pay those workers...give them a fair wage...respect them...they are surely worth it to me...AND IT'S MY MONEY!
Ok...enough of the serious talk for today....

Random Tuesday thoughts...
...so sometimes I wonder weird things...ok, I always think of weird things...and wonder if all of you have thought the same.
My thoughts for today are:
-When you go to pee, do you grab some toilet paper as you pee or wait till your done? I tend to get it as I pee and then fold it neatly and wait.
-How do you put on liquid eyeliner and not get it everywhere? Every time I put it on I end up with some all over my damn lid. I'm too impatient and in a hurry in the mornings.
-What the hell did we do before Facebook? I now feel the need to know what everyone is up to at all times...never in my life did I think it was so important to know that Tante Josephine was going to town or that my old University friend was tired or that an old acquaintance was ...
-How do people get knee highs to to stay at their knees? Mine always roll down to my ankles and then I look like an idiot.
-Why do people shovel our their driveways into the road? Isn't it more annoying to have snow on the road where you'll be driving a lot faster than in your own driveway? Why doesn't someone tell them not to do that?
-Are we all alcoholics? Really.,....I always wonder if I drink too much...what is too much? Some people drink everyday...some drink once a week...what one is worse? Seems to me like the only people that aren't alcoholics are those who simply don't drink at all.
-Who put the bomp in the bomp shoo bomp shoo bomp?
-Who put the dit in the dit de dit de dit?
-Do people who wear their favorite sports team's jersey out in public as part of their outfit that day feel like they're cool? It's kinda tacky, if you asked me...but then again, what do I know.
-Why does Tim Horton's still have the smallest drive-thru known to man? You think they would have clued in that they need more room by now!
-Why do rappers still have dumb lyrics...new example: Tik Tok by Kei$ha. She says:

"Ain’t got a care in world, but got plenty of beer
Ain’t got no money in my pocket, but I’m already here
Now, the dudes are lining up cause they hear we got swagger
But we kick ‘em to the curb unless they look like Mick Jagger"
Love the song, but is there any part of that that makes any sense? If some guy that looked like Mick Jagger was coming my way I'd run ....I'm not really attracted to very large mouths.
-Tila Tequila's fiance died today...who the hell is Tila Tequila?
Anyways...those are the things that have entered my mind today.........and yes, I'm on medication already!! hehehe
